HOGWARTS.
[ ]Entrance Hall
The entrance hall is a large rectangular room lit by many torches. This room leads you into the great hall, the dungeons, and to the grounds. In the middle of this room is a staircase that will lead you straight to the first floor, followed by the moving spiral staircases.

00
[ ]The Great Hall
When you venture into the great hall you will find four tables side by side. Above each table you will see large banners with each of the houses displayed on them. Every table is assigned to each house group. The great hall is graced with floating lit candles and a magical view of the sky, when your eyes glance upwards. Beyond all it's wonderful beauty, at the very front of the hall, is the head table. The head table is where all professors and the Headmaster sit and enjoy dinner, plus give announcements.

[ ]The Staff Room
The staff room is located near the Great Hall. Inside you’ll find mismatched, dark wooden chairs, a glowing fire place, and a few large set of wardrobes, many containing boggarts. The staff room is off-limits to students, only faculty may enter. This shouldn't be a problem.

00
[ ]Classroom Seven
Unfortunately, classroom seven is one of the many empty classrooms scattered throughout Hogwarts. This one happens to be located on the ground floor. Dumbledore found no use for it but decided to turn it into a room that looks exactly like the Forbidden Forest. Sneak inside and you will see trees covered in vines that go all along the floor. The floor boards appear to be grass and dirt, and the whole thing is pretty surreal. At night the ceiling mimics the night sky as if you were outdoors.

[ ]Filch's Office
Located in the same corridor as the empty classrooms is Filch’s office. This is a place no student wants to find themselves. The room is unbearably small and smells of fried fish. The only light source in the room is an oil lantern that hangs from the ceiling. Each drawer of Filch’s desk is filled with banned instruments, sorted according to their danger. One drawer is even filled up with the Weasley Twins best prank items.

00
DUNGEONS & SUBLEVELS.
[ ]The Dungeons
There are many dungeons located underneath the castle. These dungeons are numbered. The most popular one is dungeon number five. It held the death day party for Nearly Headless Nick. All the dungeons are almost identical. What is not identical about them is what is stored within. Trolls are known to inhabit a few of the vast dungeons. One through four are all dungeons used for potions class, many of them contain cauldrons or ingredients.

00
[ ]Hufflepuff Common Room
Near the kitchens, underneath a hidden trap door is the Hufflepuff common room. This common room is much different from the rest of them, for one it is square, and there are two fire places on each side. The room has a humble feeling to it, plastered on the high ceiling are yellow and black banners that read Hufflepuff. Upon the lower walls are a few portraits and a cork board. Both fires are surrounded by black & yellow chairs, couches, and on one side even beanbag chairs. Like all the houses this one too has tables to study at.

00
[ ]The Kitchen
The kitchen is located right under the Great Hall. It is hidden behind a portrait of a bowl of fruit. To get past it all you have to do it tickle the pear. Once inside it is hard not to notice the resemblance it has to the Great Hall. In the middle of the room stand four tables, identical to the ones above. House elves work preparing food for the meals, and if you happen to stumble into the kitchen at night they may prepare you a snack. It is prohibited to be out of bed though, so watch for Filch.

[ ]Potions
Travel through the door opposite of the Great Hall and you’ll find yourself in the damp, dark, cold, and murky dungeons. If you follow the corridor long enough you’ll come to a door that reads, ‘Potions Classroom’. The room beyond the door is square, and filled with long tables, which cauldrons sit upon. A large cauldron sits in front of the desks. This large cauldron belongs to the professor. It is unwise to venture into the potions classroom without permission.

00
[ ]Slytherin Common Room
Right below the lake in the dungeons is the Slytherin common room, hidden behind a portrait of a silver haired gaunt looking man, from what appears to the eighteenth century. Inside you’ll find a circular, low-ceilinged room. Unlike any other house the torches give off a green light. The room itself is a cold, damp, murky place just like the dungeons. Near the burning fire in this room, are green couches, and close to that there are tables for studying. On the walls there are scruffy looking portraits, some of which have secret hiding places behind them.

FIRST FLOOR.
[ ]Defense Against the Dark Arts
One of the most intriguing subjects at Hogwarts is Defense Against the Dark Arts. This class teaches the students how to protect themselves from dark magic, or dark creatures they may encounter. The subject is taught on the first floor, in a huge rectangular room, which in the day is well lit due to the many windows that align against one of the walls. At night oil lamps light the room, giving it a dim lit glow. In the center of the room are rows of chairs, all of which point towards the professor's desk.

00
[ ]History of Magic Classroom
History of Magic is the only class in Hogwarts that is taught by a ghost. Many students find History of Magic a drag. During classes the room is usually lit by a fire near the back of the class, giving the room a dim and distant feel.

00
[ ]Muggle Studies Classroom
The muggle studies classroom is located on the first floor. It is the one of the first classrooms you come upon. If you don’t know much about muggles you could better yourself with a lesson. The room is small round chamber-like room, where you’ll find all sorts of muggle artifacts, from automotive to VCRs.

00
SECOND FLOOR.
[ ]Arithmancy Classroom
Around the corner from the suit of armor and adjacent to the gargoyle outside of the Headmasters' office is the classroom of Arithmancy. The well lit room, with easy access to Moaning Myrtle's abandoned bathroom, is identical to that of the History of Magic room. With three rows of desks facing the usually blank chalkboard, one would be surprised that the subject is far less dull than learning about the Goblin Rebellion. With wide windows and a magnificent view of the Hogwart's grounds, the method of fortune-telling based on names and numbers awaits you through the ever-open door.

00
[ ]Empty Corridor
The corridor located on the second floor is desolate. The only time it is packed full of students is when they need to get to their classes. In the past there have been duels in the abandoned corridor. That is why it is Mrs. Norris’ favorite place to venture at night. The hall has collected a few spider webs around its portraits, and ghouls in its armor knights that line the halls. During the day the portraits are seen going in and out of their frame, but by night they’re back in their frame fast asleep.

[ ]Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom
It has been a half a century since Moaning Myrtle died in the girls bathroom, yet she still resides there. This bathroom has since been abandoned. On occasion Myrtle will have a fit and flood the bathroom and even the halls, using the bathroom sinks and clogging the toilets. She’s a wreck, you’d be crazy to venture into this bathroom.

THIRD FLOOR.
[ ]Hospital Wing
One of the most important places in the school is the Hospital Wing. If someone is injured due to Quidditch, or sick they come here. The room is a large rectangle room, lined with many stain glass windows, beds, and cupboards. From inside the hospital wing one can hear a Quidditch Match going on, just not very well. Within the cupboards are many potions to make one well. In the winter one can come here for pepper up potion, to keep the colds away.

00
[ ]Third Floor Corridor
This corridor has been abandoned by students and teachers alike. There are plenty of rumors that beasts lie behind the door. What does lie behind the door is a desolate hallway, lined with many suits of armor and torches, all covered in cobwebs. Do you dare venture behind the sealed door?

00
[ ]Trophy Room
Awards, trophies, plates, shields, and metals are all displayed behind a crystal case, inside of the Trophy Room. The case shimmers with the fire that burns in its fire place beside it. This room is a popular place for Peeves to act up, and wreck havoc for Filch. It is unwise to host a duel within it. During the day the room is quiet, peaceful and warm, even though no one visits it.

[ ]Charms Classroom
The charms classroom is located near the front of the building on the Third Floor. The front wall of classroom is all windows, giving the room a very bright and up beat appeal. A few rows of desks stand before a tall pile of books, which Flitwick use to stands on to teach class. Off to the side of the large windows are two cabinets, which hold cushions, extra books, feathers, and everything else the professor needs to teach his class.

00
FOURTH FLOOR.
[ ]Library
Every book ever written by a Wizard, Witch or even by a Muggle can be found within the Library. The library is a large room filled with all sorts of books, some of which you have to get permission from a teacher to read, these books are located in the restricted section. Where there isn’t a shelf there is a table, for students to study at. Each table is near a stain glass window much like the ones located in the Hospital Wing that is right below it.

[ ]Empty Room
This large empty rectangular room once held the Mirror of Erised. Now it is just bare, with only windows to light it. At night it carries a creepy feel, in the day it is just a deserted room, however lately Slytherin’s have been getting together to perform unauthorized duels here. In the dead of night it is not rare to hear, clunks, clinks, and the occasional yell of Slytherin’s dueling. This is risk, any student caught could face expulsion.

00
FIFTH FLOOR.
[ ]Prefects Bathroom
Beside the statue of Boris the Bewildered on the Fourth Floor Corridor lays the prefects bathroom. This Bathroom is only for prefects. You must have a password to get into it. Once inside there is a portrait of a mermaid upon the wall, and in the middle of the room is a bathtub, one which many faucets run into. The room and the water are always usually warm, and comforting. It is not rare for prefects to slip away from their activities just to soak in the bath.

00
SIXTH FLOOR.
[ ]The Vanishing Room
This room located on the Sixth Floor vanishes in the morning, and appears at night. Many who venture into it claim that it is filled with Blast-Ended Skrewts. Others say it is filled with chocolate frogs. Dumbledore once walked into this room and found himself in a room of chamber pots. Beware of this room; you don’t know what lies behind the door.

00
[ ]An Empty Classroom
It is rare to find this office unlocked, though Filch has been known to get lazy. Behind the door lies an empty office that is home to Peeves, the pultergeist. It is common to hear him laughing, changing to himself, even resiting, not so nice, poatry. Be careful if you enter here.

00
SEVENTH FLOOR.
[ ]Divination
On the seventh floor you’ll find a ladder that leads up from a tower into a circular room, where Divination is taught. If you’ve ever wondered about your future, you might want to attend one of these classes. The inside of the room usually smells of a heavy perfume from a fire that burns along one of the walls. Around the students are small windows, but there aren’t many.

00
[ ]Gryffindor Common Room
The Gryffindor Common Room is hidden behind a portrait of a fat lady in a pink dress. The circular room itself is made up of red and gold banners, the couches all aligned around the large fire place. A spiral staircase leads up to the dormitories and once up the stairs there is a hall where tables stay, and students are often seen studying by them.

[ ]Room of Requirement
Need a place to hide from Filch? Try the Room of Requirement, located on the Seventh Floor. The room alters to what you want it to be, the instant you pull open the door; whether it be a room filled with candy or just a normal broom closet. This room is a relatively well kept secret. The door isn't always there, leaving many students to not know of its existence.

TOWERS.
[ ]Astronomy Tower
Pass through a door on the right floor on the seventh floor and you’ll find yourself going up a spiral staircase. At the top you’ll find a flat surfaced, circular roof, a guard rail surrounds the tower, and one each hand rail is a golden telescoped use to observe the stars at night. This place is peaceful in the morning and even more so at night.

[ ]The Headmasters Office
Hidden behind a gargoyle on the third floor is a spiral staircase that leads up to the Headmasters Office. The office itself is a round room filled with many metal interments that do all kinds of things, some play music while others float above the tables. Almost every inch of the walls is taken up by portraits of old Headmasters, or very great Wizards in history. In the middle of the room is a desk, next to it is a perch where a phoenix is suppose to sit.

00
[ ]The Owlery
If you need to send someone a letter, you’ll find your owl in this round tower. The floor of the owlery is covered in owl droppings. Upon perch after perch, you’ll find different types of owls. The school itself lets students take their owls to send to their fathers, mothers, friends and family.

THE GROUNDS.
[ ]The Black Lake
South of Hogwarts Castle, nestled between two hills, lies the lake. This is a gathering spot for many students for a lot of reason. It is one of the most peaceful places, to go that isn’t in Hogsmeade or in the castle. The sound of calm waves washing up against the shore fills the air around it. Mermaids swim below it, along with the many other water dwellers such as, Grindylows and a Giant Squid.

[ ]Care of Magical Creatures
This class is held just inside of the Forbidden Forest, where there is a gap in the trees. It is located off the stone path that leads down to Hagrid's hut. There is a sign that reads, 'Care of Magical Creatures' near it. Beware. this class sometimes results in loss of limbs.

00
[ ]The Courtyard
The Hogwarts courtyard is a great place to study. Located outside of the Hogwarts, the courtyard is enclosed by four walls. A fountain of a bird with its wings spread stands in the middle of the courtyard. A few benches are set around this fountain. It is a great meeting place for all students. It is also the place that the students get together to proceed down to Hogsmeade.

Beware when you enter this forest, it tends to hide secrets. At first glance the forest doesn’t seem that dense, but venture further in and you’ll find it to be a deadly place. Wild creatures such as Werewolves, Unicorns, Giant Spiders, and Centaurs roam the forest. The ground of the forest has a blue tint to it at night, as well as a fog that lingers in the air. The morning proves to be quite a bit less dangerous than the evening.

[ ]The Lawns
The lawns of Hogwarts cover each side, and extend from the lake to the forbidden forest. Pathways from the steps of Hogwarts lead to the Quidditch pitch, the lake, the courtyard and the pumpkin patch. It is common for students to be on the lawns when class is not in session. It is rather peaceful in the morning, and even more so at night. Even though rules prohibit students to get out of bed at night, they still do it.
